National Day of Prayer | March 15, 2020

Tomorrow (Sunday) is a National Day of Prayer established by our President Trump.  There is much to pray for in times like these.  I hope that our nation will come together and bend the knee to our Heavenly Father; Who is quick to forgive, to save, and to bless those who come to Him in prayer.

First of all, thanks to President Trump for his courageous leadership that reminds our people to pray for each other and the nation.  Prayer has always been an integral part of God’s blessings on any nation.  We have endured many wars during our nation’s history, and from humble beginnings to the present Covid-19 national crisis, prayer has been the mainstay of our nation’s very existence.

  • It is an honorable thing to pray for our national leaders; for God’s guidance, safety, and blessing upon them and their families as they serve their countrymen.
  • Prayers unite us in asking for God’s mercy upon The United States and other nations of the world to eradicate the Covid-19 spread.
  • Prayers for those stricken with illness, or loss of any kind currently and in the days ahead; safety and peace without panic.

So find that secret place where there are no distractions and just open your heart to God.  He hears.  Share any feelings of fear with Him so He may shelter you with His peace.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” ~ Psalms 91: 1-2 NKJV

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, ~ 1 Timothy 2: 1-3 NKJV

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. ~ Titus 3: 1-2 NKJV

Praying now LORD: for healing of the sick; for endurance and wisdom for the caregivers, doctors, and nurses.  We take authority over illness, of viruses, lack, famine, or any other plague which may come against our nation or the magnificent world of Your creation – in the powerful Name of Jesus.  May this nation of diverse peoples bend toward You as we come together in repentance and love for one another in the face of adversity.  May we remember You with trembling and seek mercy in the True Light of Your Salvation – Our Messiah, Jesus.  Amen.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 NKJV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ~ 2Timothy 1:7 NKJV
